The Hike for Homeless is over for another year.
Over the past six days, the hikers have covered 293 kilometres of our region by, averaging about 74,000 steps per day, to raise awareness for homelessness within the community.
Byamee Moree Area Homelessness Service Operations Joanne Williams said “this week would not have been possible without the help of the SES, the local Police, the community groups who have housed and fed the hike for Homeless team each night, and of course, the volunteers, donators and hikers.
The Hike for Homeless wrapped up this afternoon at a Community Connect BBQ held in the Balo St Moree Carpark next to Harvey Norman.
